Artist profits donated to Grand’Anse, Haiti-based sustainable agriculture project led by the Julia&Jade – KOSÃHA Foundation

VALENCIA, SPAIN, May 24, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Michael Go will be releasing alternative versions of singles “Do My Part” and “Check” from his debut album “Forgive Me Brother, I’m Leaving America” featuring a previously unreleased guest feature from Montreal-based saxophonist and producer Evan Shay.

This drop of limited edition Digital Pressings is released through Berklee Valencia’s Disrupción Records on, a web3 music marketplace and community where passionate fans discover, connect with, and directly support the artists they love.

One Digital Pressing owner will be selected at random to win a free remote recording session with Michael, and all of his earnings from the sale will be donated to the Julia&Jade – KOSÃHA (FJUJA) Foundation’s grassroots fundraiser to install solar powered water pumps needed to irrigate land on nine family-owned farms in Grand’Anse and Le Département de l’Ouest, Haiti.

Michael met the President and Vice President of FJUJA through playing traditional Haitian music as a percussionist in Montreal, and went on to work with them to successfully coordinate the donation of oxygen concentrators to hospitals in the Grand’Anse region in July 2020 as part of the foundation’s Covid-19 relief efforts.

When asked for his thoughts on the concept of music in the web3 space, Michael says:

“I believe we are just beginning to see the possibilities when it comes to re-valuing music as a digital asset. I don’t think digital merchandise will ever replace physical merchandise, but platforms like Serenade are already demonstrating that there are new, unique and interactive avenues for artists to engage with their fans in a way that is easily accessible, fairly priced, and integrated with other physical merchandise and/or live experiences.

As a fan, I want to own music digitally because it provides me with a new way to invest in the careers of the artists I believe in. I’m proud to own their Digital Pressings in the same way I’m proud to wear their T Shirts or collect their vinyls.

As an artist, I believe that the tools we use in the web3 space must also address the real and immediate needs of our global community, which is why all of my sales thus far, physical or digital, have gone to support my friends at the FJUJA – KOSÃHA Foundation.”

Michael’s music will go live on starting May 31, until all copies have sold out.
