DUBAI, UAE, March 23, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Whiteshield, a global strategy and public policy firm, announced the winners of their 2022-23 Global Public Policy Competition, which aimed to accelerate the recruitment of high-potential students.

The competition featured students from top schools – including Harvard Kennedy School, London School of Economics, HEC Paris, Cambridge University, Bocconi University, and ESADE – who were tasked with proposing new global policy initiatives to promote labour market participation rates and close the skills mismatch.

First place was awarded to London School of Economics for “Harnessing the Power of Technology & Stakeholder Cooperation: Skill Motive for an Upskilled & Engaged Workforce”. The second and third spots were earned by the CEMS student group from Nova School of Business & Economics & London School of Economics for “Human Capital Alignment Policy”, and Stockholm School of Economics for “Global Apprenticeship Program”, respectively.

Whiteshield presented students with the opportunity to immerse themselves into the challenge of labour resilience. The panel of judges, comprising members of the Whiteshield Leadership Team, acting as Ministers of Education and Labour, were impressed by the remarkable effort and dedication displayed by each team in addressing the matter at hand.

The top-performing teams in the competition were invited to Whiteshield’s Dubai Office for a face-to-face fast track recruitment process. Over a few intense days, students flew across continents with the hope of securing a permanent position with the firm. The trip provided a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of Whiteshield, with a blend of learning opportunities, networking, and team-building activities that were described as highly rewarding on both a professional and personal level.
